As a Sales Development Representative at Sparta, you will play a pivotal role in our growth by generating and qualifying new leads, promoting our cutting-edge products and services, and contributing to our sales success. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team to identify and nurture relevant sales opportunities. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and a desire to learn and grow within our specialized SaaS organization.
What You’ll Do:
• Prospect & Generate Leads – Identify and engage potential clients in oil trading, refining, and related industries through outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
• Qualify Opportunities – Engage decision-makers, uncover their challenges, and determine how Sparta’s platform can add value.
• Book & Schedule Demos – Secure meetings for the sales team by effectively communicating the value of Sparta’s intelligence platform.
• Collaborate Closely with Sales & Marketing – Work hand-in-hand with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, track engagement, and optimize outreach strategies.
• Stay Ahead of Market Trends – Develop a deep understanding of oil markets, trading workflows, and how Sparta delivers a competitive edge.

• Results-Oriented – You love hitting (and exceeding) targets and driving measurable impact.
• Interest in Commodities & Finance – A strong curiosity about trading, oil markets, or financial technology is a plus.
Bonus Points
• Familiarity with energy commodity trading workflows, market structure, and pricing dynamics.
• Experience selling financial data platforms, analytics software, or SaaS solutions used in trading environments.
