The Role

We’re seeking a Oil Market Analyst to lead client adoption and commercial growth across the Americas.

As a Product Expert, you’ll be a trusted advisor and product champion, sitting at the crossroads of product, sales, customer success, and research. Your mission is to help clients adopt Sparta’s workflows, demonstrate clear value in their daily operations, and ensure regional market needs are represented in our platform. You’ll also play a key role in shaping and delivering regional research and market analysis, reinforcing Sparta’s thought leadership in the Americas.

In addition, you’ll support API-led sales and adoption, helping clients understand and integrate Sparta’s data and intelligence directly into their internal systems and workflows.

This is role is based in our Houston office for core days, with hybrid flexibility.

What you'll be doing:

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting them in adopting Sparta’s workflows and maximizing the value of our offerings.
• Partner with Sales to ensure clients and prospects clearly understand the value Sparta delivers to their trading and analytical workflows.
• Support API adoption, guiding clients through integration conversations and positioning Sparta’s API as a core enabler of workflow efficiency.
• Secure adoption and renewal by working closely with Customer Success to deliver onboarding and engagement programs across large enterprise accounts.
• Contribute to regional research and market analysis, creating written outputs that bring Sparta’s insights to the forefront of the Americas market.
• Shape the roadmap by feeding US workflows and requirements into product development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Owners, Engineers, and Research Analysts to ensure client needs translate into features and intelligence.
• Represent Sparta at industry events, client workshops, and conferences to deepen partnerships with refiners, trading houses, and financial institutions.

About you:

• Experience in commodity trading, analytics, or as a product specialist in oil or refined products.
• Strong understanding of US crude and refined products markets.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to connect workflows to client value.
• Skilled at producing written market commentaries and thought-leadership outputs.
• Comfortable discussing APIs and data integrations with clients; able to translate technical concepts into business value (no coding required).
• Entrepreneurial mindset, thrives in a fast-paced scale-up.
• Established network in US and LATAM trading or financial institutions.
• Proactive, with a proven ability to work with a high level of independence and urgency
• High level of integrity, ethical standards, and alignment with Sparta’s values
